Sometimes, stories of love start in a very unusual way. Faruq bumped into Sharifa on the street, returning home from college. What began as a chance encounter soon became a shared love for Rap, loud laughs, Air Jordan and delicious food. Their first date leading to their journey as a couple was at the party, where Faruq played a set. Of course, Sharifa enjoyed it so much.
Faruq and Sharifa were a couple who had to manage a long-distance relationship for a while, with Faruq working in New York while Sharifa called Toronto home. The groom told us they chose the Broadview Hotel in Toronto as their wedding venue because of its similarity to New York, where Faruq spent a lot of time.
