As a Toronto-based wedding photographer, we've had the privilege of capturing many weddings in 2022. However, Daniel and Heather's Deer Creek wedding was something unique and memorable celebration. It was a lovely fall day when Daniel and Heather said their vows at Deer Creek Golf Club, a picturesque wedding venue nestled in the rolling hills of Ajax, Ontario. The couple told us they chose Deer Creek golf club for its stunning scenery, elegant banquet hall, and of course, because they both truly love golf.
Every aspect of the day was full of love and support, from the morning with the boys enjoying whiskey and pizza to the bride and her bridesmaids sipping champagne and sharing emotional moments. The bride's mom helped her put on the wedding dress while the bridesmaids looked at the process with admiration and tears of happiness. It was indeed a memorable moment for everyone there.
All girls felt slightly nervous before the groom and bride's first look. But we were confident, that Daniel & Heather's Deer Creek wedding photos would be perfect. They arranged a particular spot at Deer Creek golf club for that small but awaited moment.
When it was time for the ceremony, everyone's excitement was palpable. An outdoor ceremony at Deer Creek is always beautiful, and it was even more special with the sun shining. Heather walked down the aisle with her friends and family beaming, and Daniel couldn't help but look at his bride with love and admiration. The couple took full advantage of the venue's natural beauty, with the ceremony in front of the gazebo and the reception in the grand banquet hall.
After the ceremony, we took formal photos around the grounds of Deer Creek golf club Ajax, looking for shade from the sun, which was, despite the season, quite hot. When the time came, Daniel and Heather stepped out of their cocktail hour for their sunset couple photoshoot. We were so lucky to catch one of the most stunning sunsets. We remembered Deer Creek golf club for its multiple lakes and picturesque small bridges.
Deer Creek's banquet hall, with high ceilings and incredible light, was the perfect setting for Daniel & Heather's Deer Creek golf club wedding. Panoramic windows provide a gorgeous view of the golf course. The reception was filled with laughter and joy; everyone was on the dancefloor at the end of the night, with the energy at Deer Creek remaining high throughout the evening.
A few things are good to keep in mind if you plan a celebration at Deer Creek wedding venue in Ajax, ON. As Deer Creek is primarily a golf club, you may be limited in the areas where you can take photos, especially on a golf course. Also, it is good to clarify before booking if exclusive locations like the gazebo are included at Deer Creek wedding package for your date. Additionally, the front of the venue can be a bit of a traffic area, so plan your arrival accordingly. From a wedding photography point of view, golf clubs are pretty challenging locations during the daytime so if possible, consider taking photos at sunset or off-site. But despite all mentioned points, Deer Creek golf club is definitely a beautiful and elegant wedding venue in Ajax worth checking out.
